I don’t put a time limit on my sessions and that eliminates the stress of “getting it right” in a short amount of time. We shoot until we both feel there’s enough images to review. I’ll be posing and directing you throughout the session so you’ll have a good variety of images and I’ll you’ll see some of them before our final review where I’ll instruct you more on what works best in expressions.

Wear outfits you love. You’ll feel most confident in your favorite clothes. We’re focusing on tops, so besides what you’re wearing to the session, please bring at least 5 different outfits (shirts/blouses, jackets, ties, sweaters, scarves). Solid, bold colors look best. I always like to have a short pre-shoot phone call with you the day before our session to review outfits and other items for our shoot.

I clean and sanitize my studio space before each shoot and I wear a facemask throughout our session. We’re always physically distanced at least 6-plus feet at all times and aside from when you’re in front of the camera, you’ll be required to wear a facemask as well. During the photo selection process, I’ll be streaming the images on a large screen TV monitor where we’ll again be physically distanced. I also have two HEPA filter fans running throughout the session and a window open for additional ventilation. Both your and my health are extremely important, so if you’re not feeling well the day of the shoot call, text or e-mail me and I’m happy to reschedule your session.

I highly advise women to use my makeup artist/hairstylist (not needed for men). Please keep in mind that this session is an investment into you and using my MUA/hairstylist will make you feel even more confident in front of the camera. If you decide to do your own makeup, please keep it light for a natural look and bring your makeup for touchups. Also: everyone should bring a comb and or brush!

Everyone knows you have a top to your head. You want people to focus on the most important aspects of your face which run from your eyes to your mouth. Your eyes evoke confidence and approachability emanates from your mouth. With a confident and approachable look you will convey a sense of trust to people viewing your headshot.

We’ll review your images right at the end of your photo session and you’ll select the ones you want to purchase prior to leaving my studio space. Typically, you’ll get your edited high-resolution images in about three to five business days. And you’ll receive the images in both an 8X10 and square formats so you’ll have the right dimensions for your website and social media sites.
